The Person Behind The Lens

Hey, I’m Megan - Army wife, mama, and professional chaos handler. My three beautiful children, Noah, Eden, and Rory, are the names behind Three Pines Archive but the heart behind it is much bigger than just them. I’m also a stepmom to two wonderful boys, a daughter to a mom who has become my best friend, and the kind of friend who will have your back in every season of life. When I’m not behind my camera, you can usually find me with an iced coffee in my hand running errands, curled up watching a documentary, outside walking through nature with my family, or just in the middle of the beautiful chaos of raising my kids. Because at the end of the day, I’m living through these fleeting seasons too. I know how badly you want to hold onto them.

Loving and raising our blended family has made me especially aware of how quickly the seasons of our lives come and go - and how much the smallest, most ordinary moments can mean once they’ve passed. One day they fit in the curve of your arm, and somehow, without asking permission, those tiny hands get bigger. Their voices change. Their favorite things change. And all of the ordinary little moments you thought that you’d remember forever begin to blur around the edges. That’s what made me fall in love with photographs differently.

I’m not interested in creating a perfect version of your life. I want the real one - the windblown hair, the belly laughs, the way your child reaches for your hand, the quiet look between two people who know each other by heart. You don’t have to know what to do in front of my camera - that’s my job. I’ll gently guide you through natural poses and prompts that create movement, connection, and real emotion, so nothing ever feels stiff or forced. I’ll tell you where to put your hands, give you something to do when you’re feeling unsure, and hopefully have you laughing before you realize the camera is even there.

My work is cinematic, a little nostalgic, and deeply rooted in connection. Because years from now, I don’t just want you to remember what this season looked like. I want you to remember how it felt.

*please excuse my lack of photos in this section, I am always behind the lens and very rarely in front of it. I will work on that so that you can see me for who I am as well!
